CELTIC and Motherwell plan to pay tribute to the late Phil O’Donnell at the Betfred Cup Final, ten years after the former Celts start died.
O’Donnell’s friends and family support the heart screening charity CRY — Cardiac Risk in the Young — with former team-mates Simon Donnelly, Jackie McNamara and Stevie Kirk currently helping arrange a sportsman’s fundraising dinner on November 11.
Phil’s daughter, Megan, 21, said: “As a family we think it’s a lovely gesture from both teams to pay tribute to my dad. “The game will be extra special for my youngest brother, Luc, who doesn’t remember much about Dad.
