This February, the Cara Group has taken part in the 100km Heart Month Challenge to raise funds for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY), our charity partner for the year.
This cause holds immense significance to all of us here at Cara and we have been raising funds to help CRY provide life-saving heart screenings and offer support to families affected by heart conditions.
Throughout the month, members of our team have committed to covering 100km in total, the dedication of our staff is truly inspiring, as we come together to make a difference in a cause that deeply matters to us.
Additionally, our Brickwork MD, Neil, has hosted two “Walk in the Woods” events on the 9th and 16th of February, these walks not only boosted health and fitness but also focused on staff wellbeing. We were overwhelmed by the fantastic turnout, with over 50 colleagues, family and friends joining in both days. It was incredible to see so many people united in support of such a meaningful cause and it was a wonderful way to raise spirits while connecting with people.
To make the walks even more special, we asked participants to donate the price of a coffee, with Cara Group providing a drink voucher in return. The response has been heartwarming, and we are thrilled to share that we raised an impressive £1,200, in the month of February.
Thank you again to everyone who has supported the campaign! We’ve been so encouraged by the response, and due to the success of these events, we’re planning more outdoor socials monthly, so keep your eyes peeled for more information.
