At the beginning of November, my sister saw this event advertised and suggested that we do it together. It was such a fun thing to do but also with a very important message. As soon as she mentioned it to her family, they all wanted to take part too.
So we both set up a fundraising page on Facebook with what we each thought was an achievable total of £150 but within 24 hours, we had already smashed that and the totals were rising.
The weather that week was glorious so I walked a few miles every day, sometimes with a friend and other times on my own but always with Mark by my side. With a combination of walking, cycling and swimming, we each achieved our 12 miles.
We celebrated together on the last day with brunch and a short walk round the village proudly wearing our CRY T-shirts but plenty of other layers too.
Due to the amazing and overwhelming generosity, kindness, love and support of all our friends and family, we raised an incredible combined total of £1,928.
