17 Year Old Student Fundraises for CRY Heart Screening

Sixth Form Student, Elinor, has launched the โ€˜Hartbeatโ€™ campaign to raise funds for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) after her cousin, Frank, was diagnosed with a heart condition at a CRY screening financed by a memorial fund. โ€œFrankโ€™s diagnosis, although devastating, has potentially saved his life,โ€ Elinor said. She aims to raise ยฃ5,000 in order to hold another CRY screening in Monmouth for 100 young people. โ€œCRY is a vital charity, especially to sporty youngsters,โ€ said Elinor. โ€œI would like to extend the Dean Mason Memorial Fundโ€™s kindness and pay for an event in Monmouth next summer.
