The Sidmouth 4 Trigs Challenge has raised a record £3,118.76 for charity.

The event, which took place on February 4, saw 116 competitors set off from Sidmouth’s esplanade at 9.30am.

The money raised will go to Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY), a UK-wide charity that tests more than 25,000 young people a year, offering subsidised ECG and echocardiogram screening to all young people between the ages of 14 and 35.

This year, David Wright of Sidmouth Running Club took over the organisation of the 4 Trigs Challenge, as Marion and Robert Hayman stepped down after nine years.
