On Friday 17th May, Andy Wilsher held a Tribute night at the Witham Public Hall in memory of Thomas Fleetwood. He performed numbers from Michael Buble and Robbie Williams and the night raised a wonderful £2,776 for the charity.
“On Friday we held a Michael Buble & Robbie Williams tribute night. 230 guest attended and the night was a huge success!!! We thought we would hold a raffle inbetween so I started collecting prizes etc…
We ended up getting some amazing prizes including hotel stays, Family Photo-shoots, Facials, Golf days etc… we also got some signed photo’s from This Morning, Celebrity Juice, signed footballs and photo’s etc… so we decide to do a silent auction for some of the prizes. In the end we had 50 raffle prizes and 18 auction prizes!
We raised £915 on the Raffle and £473 on the auction, £1388 total.
Then I found out that Barclays will double your Raffle money if they sell the tickets, so we asked 4 Barclays employees to come along and sell tickets for us, they sold all the tickets and now said they will double the £915 which will bring the total to £2,776. Every single penny from the raffle & auction went to C.R.Y. because Elise Fleetwood is a close friend of Andy’s sister.
Thomas Fleetwood, Elise’s husband sadly passed away unexpectedly on 18th October 2011 aged 28 – the coroner could only explain his death as a result of Sudden Adult Death syndrome.”
