While having a couple of drinks with my partner and Ben’s mum Carole, they jokingly said I should shave my head for charity and I agreed. Thirteen hours later we’d raised £200. I couldn’t believe it, so me and Zoe, Ben’s sister, decided to raise the target to £500. We decided that the head shave would be on Ben’s birthday, 23rd February, at my in-law’s pub; The Queen’s Head in Barwell. It was overwhelming to see so many people turn up to watch the head shave take place. After it was done, we did a tally and it was way over £800. It was such an amazing feeling to know we raised so much in just 1 week. I thank everyone who donated for their support in helping me and Ben’s family keep his memory alive by helping to raise money for such a brilliant charity.
