Coatbridge Side Dunbeth FC Players have Heart Screenings in Memory of Former Team Mate Kieran McDade

The Courier, 20th August 2019

Twenty members of the Dunbeth FC club’s 2003 side took part in a screening for heart conditions. Kieran McDade, who used to play for the club, tragically passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest during training in 2016 at just 13 years old. Since then, his coaches and team mates have established the Kieran McDade Foundation to donate defibrillators to sports clubs and provide first aid training sessions. The heart screening session was carried out by Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) with organisers having joined forces with their Ben Forsyth Memorial Fund.
