Tomfest 2019 – Saturday 7th September 2019
Tomfest 2019 was an afternoon and evening of live music, crafts and entertainment and remembrance of Tom Reid who died in September 2009. The day’s activities began at The Lord Gascoigne Pub in Garforth with live music from:

The day was compered by Chris Hoyle who was Tom’s former teacher from Garforth Academy.
Stalls included:- Festival Glitter Painting:- The Glitter Club, Bigzzie Smalls Beads, (selling bracelets with 19 beads representing Tom’s age), Danon Jewellery, Knotsandgemstones, Beauty & The Beard Manicures by Jo, Indian Head Massage and back massage, Steve’s Succulents, a Silent Auction, Tombola Stall, Katy’s Cakes, a Memory Stall for Tom, a CRY Awareness Stall, James’s Hook a Duck, and Abi’s Adventureland.
Other additions were Jason’s Bouncy Castle and Slide, Rae of Sunshine Candy Floss and the Gin Shack.
The afternoon was amazing with lots of fun activities and entertainment with families, friends and people from the local community attending.
The evening entertainment then commenced at 7.00 pm at the Welfare Hall in Garforth with live music from:
The Flow (including Matty on guitar, Tom’s cousin)
Rubber Kazoo and the night finished with Tom’s own brother DJ Alex Reid.
The evening’s entertainment again was compered by Chris Hoyle. A bar was serving wine, beer and prosecco and the addition of GinTopia gin bar serving fresh gin. The Silent Auction concluded at 8.30 pm with bids on 20 amazing prizes which had been donated especially for the event. A beautiful emotional video clip by Dan O’Connell was shown which included photos of Tom and footage of him.
Tomfest 2019 raised £3,625.
