We had a Santa’s grotto event in memory of our son Richard. This is an annual event for work colleagues and family friends where I run the tombola stall in aid of CRY.
This year we also did a raffle and guess the teddy’s name. Everybody helps on the day especially the gardeners who play a big part dressing up as elves and Santa. The children are taken to Santa’s grotto through the woods, it’s very magical. Seeing the children’s face’s when they receive their present from Santa while the ukulele players played Christmas songs was wonderful. There were hot and cold drinks, mince pies and cakes.
I would like to thank everyone involved, especially Sharon West and Sophie who worked tirelessly to get everything organised and a special thanks to Lee as Santa.
A big thanks to Marion for selling the raffle tickets and everybody who donated to our cause. We raised £700.00 on the day.
