From cakes sales and raffles, garden tool sales, car washes and dress-down days, Barrus has been raising money for charitable organisations.
At the end of last year, Barrus employees were asked to nominate a charity of their choice to benefit from the monies raised. The nominations were put into a draw and picked out of the Christmas hat during the end of year presentation. Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) was one of the lucky charities to receive a donation of £1,000.00.
“As our staff were involved in making these events happen, we thought that is was fitting that they should nominate their favourite charity and one that is close to their heart,” commented Amanda Walden, Human Resources Manager at Barrus.
