Thirteen boys from years 9 and 10 at Horsforth School in Leeds chose CRY as their nominated charity for the school’s annual charity swim fundraiser. The lads shown in the photographs swam 1044 lengths between them and raised £500 after swim expenses. Older students from Horsforth School 6th form staged a charity boxing match in 2018 which raised £700 for CRY, meaning that students from Horsforth School have now raised £1200 for CRY.
James Bovington, a language teacher at Horsforth who organised the swim, said ‘I am very proud of the thirteen lads who were keen to support CRY through this sponsored swim which raised a significant amount and showed the lads that they are good swimmers; each boy swimming on average 80 lengths in about 50 minutes. Well done Alex, Alfie, Cameron, Connor, Dan, Danny, Ed, Max, Raphaël, Sam, Thomas, Thomas and Will ’. Superb lads.
