The 173rd Grand National meeting became the first in history to take place behind closed doors and the winner Minella Times ridden by Rachael Blackmore, gave us the first winning Grand National female jockey. National lockdown meant a rethink to management of our usual workplace sweepstake and gave us the ideal opportunity to kick start fundraising for CRY through Scott’s memorial page.
What started out as one sweepstake, ended up through overwhelming support, being three sweepstakes bringing in a total of £300 for CRY.
Heartfelt thanks to all family, friends and colleagues at Beam Suntory in Springburn Glasgow, for not only participating in the sweepstakes but also for the many generous donations made separately to Scott’s memorial fund.
