Imperial College London chose CRY as the charity to benefit from their annual Arts Fest. The event ran from 6th to 10th February 2006, and featured a variety of music and dance events throughout the week.
The Imperial College Arts Festival committee decided to choose CRY as the charity to support, following a suggestion by their good friend Hanna Barriga. Hanna lost her sister Cecilia in May 2005 to an unknown heart condition, and she wished to try and support CRY in some way.
Money was raised for CRY through a charity concert held on Wednesday 8th February, and through busking that took place all week.
After the event, Hanna Barriga (below) contacted CRY: “Just thought I would let you know that the ARTS fest was really good and we managed to raise £580 and lots of people seemed to pay attention and were interested in CRY which is great.”
