A Market Harborough woman is raising money and awareness after her husband was diagnosed with heart failure aged just 32.
Sam Lambert was hospitalised in a life-threatening condition last year, after doctors found his heart was functioning at just 10% and his organs were failing.
Previously fit and healthy, he continues to receive medical treatment to get back to as normal life as he can.
Sam’s wife Tess is raising money for charity Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) by swimming the equivalent 34km distance of crossing the English Channel – 34km – in sessions at Harborough Leisure Centre.
She is now halfway through the big challenge of covering over 1,300 lengths of the pool in 12 weeks and has raised over £400.
