Paul Tyron Hutton
Thank you for visiting Paul’s memorial fund.
As you are aware, I lost my only child suddenly in 2021, devastating our whole family. Paul, or Paulie as we affectionately called him, was a larger-than-life character, hilariously funny, and deeply philosophical.
Not knowing why a healthy 32-year-old could die so suddenly was very difficult to understand. We were advised to contact CRY, and with the help of this amazing charity, I was offered screening.
Last month, I had an Ajmaline Test at St. George’s Hospital. I tested positive for having Brugada Syndrome – something I had never heard of until Paul’s passing. This condition wasn’t even known about when Paul was born, and research has come a long way since it was discovered. However, there is still not enough known about it, which is why it is so important to continue research.
We have already raised over £2.5K on the JustGiving platform for CRY. In lieu of flowers at Paul’s funeral, we raised £1,590, and on a cold winter morning in January 2023, my close friend Debbie, along with two colleagues and Paul’s friend Ambreen, completed a 10 km run in his memory and raised £1,100.
I cannot thank CRY enough because I finally have an answer to why my beautiful boy died.
Thank you for donating in his memory. Your donation will help fund screening for more families, support research, and provide critical support for families like ours.
