Every year since Alden passed, I’ve challenged myself to do something meaningful to raise money and keep his memory alive. This year, I hosted my first-ever charity football tournament in memory of my late friend, Alden Price. The event was a tremendous success. Sadly, Alden passed away on May 21st, 2017, just after his 18th birthday. His loss left a huge gap in so many lives. Alden was a strong, talented young man with a passion for music, cars, and luxury goods, taken far too soon by Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. This genetic heart condition often shows no symptoms.
The tournament, hosted by MK United, brought together 12 fantastic 11-a-side football teams. Thanks to the dedication of Denni Luya and the whole team, we enjoyed a day full of friendly competition and community spirit. Although we finished second on the pitch, we accomplished something much greater, raising over £3,000 for a cause that means everything to me, Alden’s family, and his friends.
The day was filled with joy and remembrance, complete with food trucks, bouncy castles, and an atmosphere that truly honoured Alden’s vibrant spirit.
A huge thank you to everyone who participated, donated, and supported us. Your contributions truly make a difference!
