CRY Update Magazine Issue 93

Issue 93 of the CRY Update magazine covers all news, events and fundraising from January to April 2024.

During this time period CRY screened over 9,492 people including 5,278 young people at a family screening event, 3,326 at a school screening event, 43 at sport screenings, 325 people at CRY’s head office in Leatherhead and 520 with thanks to the Northern Ireland Memorial Fund.

This issue includes a piece on the CRY Support programme (Page 14) and the support that CRY offers.

In research there is an interview with former CRY Research Fellow Dr Harshill Dhutia on How Research can lead to review and potential reform for UK screening policy. (Page 16)

Writeups on London Landmarks and the London Marathon (Page 26 and 28).

It also includes a writeup on CRY’s Heart Month (Page 22)

CRY also had a visit from HMS Agincourt to launch a new partnership (Page 24) and CRY and families visited the Houses of Parliament for a ‘One Voice, Many Hearts’ round table discussion (Page 26).

At the end there is a tribute to Andy Usher who worked alongside CRY leading the counselling course for 16 years (Page 77)
