A group of friends from the Angel Inn Pub, Durham took part in a Halloween themed pub crawl 6 months early to raised money for CRY in memory of Levon Morland.
“The streets of Durham City were awash with ‘flesh-eating zombies’ who couldn’t wait for Halloween to come round so decided to go six months early.
What started, as most good ideas do, as a chat in the Angel Pub turned into a ‘half Halloween’ day out dressed a zombies. Not only did we enjoy it but the second and third glances we got from people made us smile even more. After all, it’s not very often you see a gang of ‘blood splattered un-dead’ wandering round this great historic City!
The marathon day saw dozens of people come and go – starting off at noon and finishing later that evening. There was a serious side to the day, helping the Angel’s charity this year Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY).
Yes we all had a good time but more satisfying was that we raised money for our charity CRY. Don’t know how much at the moment as we are still counting but it will all help this most worthwhile cause.”
