A stunning show of the latest collections in lingerie, nightwear and bridal hosiery has raised more than £1,500 for youngsters at risk of cardiac illnesses.
Co-organiser Charlotte Luckett, who lost her 19-year-old brother Martyn, to a form of Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS) in 2005, said she was moved by the reaction to the Lacy Connections’ fashion show at Caeser’s Palace Night Club in Bideford.
“It really is a great cause and I’m so pleased that we have been able to raise so much money for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) in my brother’s memory,” she told the Gazette.
Lacy Connections’ Citi Sweeney said that the event was so successful another show is being planned for next year.
“Everyone was fantastic. The girls looked great and the audience had the time of their lives,” she said.
“I’d like to say a big thank-you to all our sponsors: also Simon Little, Tom the DJ, Lantern ‘s Chapple and PJ, J&A Cameras for the photos and, of course, the models: Zeb, Glen, Brook, James, Shellley, Lara, Monika, Mega, Natalie, Dararis, Emma, PJ, Jess, Claire and Jo.”
