Mark’s son became the first ever professional football apprentice with an ICD after suffering a cardiac arrest.
After Matthew recovered so positively, Mark decided to write a fictionalised version of real events including the issue of both his parents’ dementia set against an awful family history of tragic deaths, of which Matthew was so nearly another.
