Funds raised for heart charity

Family and friends of a young Tayport woman who died from an undiagnosed heart condition have raised money for a charity which aims to find the causes of such tragedies.

A cheque for £2,375 has been presented to CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) by Colin, Val and Laney Graham in memory of their daughter and sister Leigh.

The money was raised by holding a party night in the Bell Rock Tavern, Tayport, as well as raffles and a sponsored Tay swim by family friend and neighbour Suzanne Sneddon.

Leigh, who died three years ago last month, was educated at Madras College, and worked as a sales manager with Argos in St Andrews before taking a similar post with the larger Glenrothes branch just a few months before her untimely passing.
