We knew as soon as we discovered Lily had died from sudden adult death syndrome and we had contact with CRY that we would become supporters of the charity.
In the early months of bereavement there is a little comfort in people pulling together in one cause and so our fundraising and awareness in Stowmarket began.
Lily died 16/01/12 and from that time people have been generous with both their money and energy to help us achieve our target of bringing some screening events to Stowmarket.
In 2012 we raised over £10,000 which enabled us to start a memorial fund much of this was raised by individual donations, the London Bridges walk and a film night. At our first London bridges walk we had 79 family and friends walking in memory of Lily.
December 2012 we held our first event a film night of Lily’s favourite sing-along movie Mama Mia it was a great excuse for dressing up and an opportunity for family and friends to get together and remember Lily.
