On Sunday 22nd of May our group of over 20 people took part in the Manchester 10k for CRY in memory of Emily Rose Dunn, who sadly passed away in July last year as a result of an undiagnosed heart condition. The group, led by Emily’s parents Gordon and Sheree, consisted of a selection of Gordon’s colleagues from Compass Minerals as well as some of Emily’s family and close friends. It was an emotional day for all, but it was so fantastic to see so many people pulling together for a great cause. Special mentions go out to the members of our group finishing in less than an hour:
Bruce Harrold – 34:41
Mike McAuley – 49:12
John Brotherton – 52:40
Megan Wynne – 52:51
Ryan Mitchell – 53:20
Ben Hayes – 55:18
Martin Moores – 56:59
Jamie Chellig – 57:37
Sebastian Luker – 58:45
Felicity Hayes – 59:34
To date, this group has raised over £4,000 just from this event for CRY and we hope to continue raising much more in the future for this brilliant cause. Bring on next year!
