We decided a while ago to hold a Pamper Party at the end of the summer holidays so people could attend and relax before returning to work (and after entertaining their children for 6 weeks whilst school was closed!). The Pamper Party was held at Rowena’s house (Robert’s sister) where a large gazebo was set up in the garden with assistance from Robert’s brothers-in-law Lee and Craig along with vintage bunting and cake stands ready for our afternoon teas.
Jenny Thomasson from Beauty by Jenny offered a wide range of treatments, including manicures, waxes and massages… all were very popular!
Robert’s friends Craig and Elisa Rayner made lots of delicious cakes; a lemon drizzle cake, ice-cream and mint chocolate cakes! Robert’s mother-in-law Lis and daughter Evie made a coffee and walnut cake, which was a big hit, as were the cake and marshmallow pops made by Lisa.
Raffle tickets were bought in abundance with some great prizes up for grabs including prizes from local businesses; a gift voucher to spend at Howarth’s Jewellers in Bolton donated by Sandra Hill, a back massage from Beauty by Jenny and a piece of original artwork from The Heartfelt Fox. All the prizes were very well-received by the winners!
The day was a huge success and raised £200 to boost funds for Cardiac Risk in the Young.
