On Sunday 4th Sept Christine Goodair and Susanna Riviere rode the London (Richmond) to Windsor Bike Ride, organised by Bike Events. We were pleased to be able to support Cardiac Risk in the Young Fund in memory of James, the son of one of our swimming friends Ellery McGowan.
Apart from one shower of rain the weather remained cool and comfortable, and the route was mainly on minor roads, through villages and by the Thames so it came as a bit of a surprise to have 3 rather steep hills in the last third of the ride! Despite that we got to Windsor, including refreshment stops, in three and a half hours, and raised over £400.
