The football tournament was played in memory of Paul McCann, who died during last years Great Eastern Run. The event was put on by Paul’s brothers Graham and Richard, and friend Dan Goodacre, with teams of seven-a-side competing in a series of matches at Bushfield Leisure Centre in Ortongate Shopping Centre.
Harmon said, “Originally I did not think many people would take part, but the turnout was really good in the end with nearly 50 people playing.” After the tournaments success, they trio hope to make it an annual event.
£1,077 was raised and will go to Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY)
