On Saturday 29th July 2017, my Sister Claire and her Husband Stuart had a party to celebrate their 25th Wedding Anniversary. Instead of receiving presents they asked guests to donate towards a memorial fund in the name of their niece, Danielle Rowe, who suddenly lost her life to sudden cardiac death in May 2016 at the age of 24.
During the evening, my sister made a speech about SCD and how losing Danielle has affected the whole family. They wanted to raise the awareness as well as raising funds and at the end of the evening donations totalled £420.
