A parish council have pledged to donate £100 to a heart charity, following the sudden death of a Cheslyn Hay woman.
Fitness instructor and British Heart Foundation fundraiser, Zoe Teale, died suddenly in her sleep at the age of 23.
Zoe, a former Great Wyrley High School pupil, was an enthusiastic swimmer for ten years having competed for Bilston Swimming Club and Birmingham University, where she studied for a sports degree.
She died on September 15 last year from an undiagnosed heart defect.
Zoe’s family have now dedicated themselves to raising awareness and money for charity CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young), which campaigns to get young people screened for potentially fatal heart defects.
And at a meeting last week, members of Cheslyn Hay Parish Council pledged to donate £100 to the cause.
