Adam Dearnley
Adam, aged just 26, passed away suddenly at work and without any prior symptoms whatsoever, leaving us all in total shock and disbelief at what had happened. Like many other families affected in this way, we are setting up a memorial fund in Adam’s name.
Adam was a fit and healthy young man who had everything to look forward to, having settled into a new job, just bought his first car and moving on with his life.
Adam loved being in the outdoors and helping others. Through Scouting, he was able to combine these interests – he had been a leader with both the Cubs and Scouts, was the District Media Manager and involved with many scouting activities throughout Nottinghamshire. Adam was a qualified kayaking instructor with Nottinghamshire Scouts.
Adam enjoyed walking, swimming, cycling, camping, family holidays and following Notts County. Playing his guitar, he would naturally pick tunes from the 40s, 50s and 60s and loved attending the Twinwood vintage music festival every year. Adam loved history and tradition but was also very at ease with the latest IT and had graduated as a digital designer.
Adam enjoyed a good cup of tea, a quality coffee and a tasty pint!
This fundraising page is Adam’s legacy, hopefully in some small way, it will help CRY help other families similarly affected and reduce the instances of these tragedies happening in the future.
This memorial fund has been set up by the family to help CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) raise awareness of young sudden cardiac death, support those affected, support CRY’s screening programme and fund research and pathology.
