Alex Kelly
Our son, Alex, was taken from us while on holiday in Egypt in June 2024. He was just 18 years old, fit and healthy throughout his short life, and it was so cruel that we were given no warning, so he had no chance of surviving his attack.
At the start of his adult life, with work, driving, and enjoying the freedom that comes with it, Alex should have been having a wonderful time. But that was all taken away from him in an instant.
Our family and friends are devastated and in pure disbelief that something like this can happen to young people every day, leaving families ripped apart.
Please ensure you get your family checked so you do not have to know the tragedy we are going through from losing our son. Alex, we will love you forever.
This memorial fund has been set up by the family to help CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death through supporting CRY’s screening programme.
The aim is to fund the screening of young people within the local community.
