On 16 March Seb and I ran the Bath Half Marathon and I used it as an opportunity to fundraise for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) in memory of our lovely friend, Toby.
The training leading up to the race had its challenges including Seb fracturing his elbow a month beforehand! But when race day arrived, the atmosphere in Bath was electric, and the sun made an unexpected appearance, making the run that much more enjoyable.
Despite a few tough moments (particularly the last push to the finish line which was at the top of a huge hill!), the energy from the crowd and the support from everyone pushed me through to the finish line.
I’m really proud of how much we raised for CRY and it felt like the perfect way to honour Toby. Huge thanks to everyone who supported us with the Half —whether it was with donations, kind words, or just cheering us on from afar. It really made a difference.
