We walked 10km through Windsor Great Park in memory of Meghan Adams. It was cold and wet but we were rewarded by coming close up to a stag! The route was predominantly along the Long Walk with the castle behind us, uphill and into the wind to the statue of George III.
As this year’s walk couldn’t go ahead I decided to do the 5.1 miles around my home town of Seaham. At present we have local lockdown restrictions which mean different households are not allowed to meet up. Consequently, I did the walk alone in memory of our son, Kevin Paterson. Anna Eccleston and her friend Suzie climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in February of this year, raising £2,644.78 in memory of their friend Mandy Lee who passed away in May 1996. These funds will go towards furthering CRY’s goal of reducing the number of young sudden cardiac deaths, preventing loved ones from facing that tragic loss of life.
Virtual Heart of London Bridges Walk Write Up For its 14th year, the CRY Heart of London Bridges Walk was a different kind of event. The funds were raised during an evening of great fun and lots of support from family and friends. We held a charity auction during Thomas’ brother Francis’ 21st birthday party in February. He also received donations instead of gifts. £3771.00 was raised in the auction and £903.50 in donations. – Clare Tideswell
