New CRY supporters Fanos and Myroull Hadji-Michael (CRY Fundraising Manager Rebecca Zouvani’s parents) held their annual charity Greek night at the Cypriot Community Centre in Wood Green, North London on Sunday September 17th .
The events have, in the past, been held in aid of Cancer Research UK.
This year, after hearing about CRY and its good work, they decided to split the proceeds 50/50 between CRY and Cancer Research UK.
The event included a Kleftiko dinner, wine and soft drinks, and dancing to the sound of ‘Body and Soul’ Disco – as well as two raffles.
Companies and individuals supported the event by attending or advertising in the souvenir programme.
The final total raised was £14,160 – with CRY receiving £7,080.
Due to health reasons, this was to be their final event.
If anyone would like to take on the organisation of this established event, they would be happy to give any advice and help. If you are interested please contact them via Rebecca at the CRY office.
