Swimclub, the Havering Dolphins of Hornchurch, are organising a charity Swimathon to be held on the 7th of December. The fundraising event will be in aid of Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) with 100% of the money raised going towards funding CRY’s research into prevention and detection and raising awareness of the risks of underlying cardiac conditions in young people.
“It is such an important cause, a condition that can affect any age group and is currently undetectable and people aren’t aware of it,” said the organiser of the event, Lynette Dyer.
