A screening event to detect heart conditions in young people will be held in memory of an 18-year-old girl who died suddenly.

The CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) screening will take place at WPA Rivergate House, Taunton, on Saturday, March 22.

It is being held in memory of Freya Davidson, who died from cardiac arrest on January 16, 2023, with no prior symptoms or family history.

Freya was the daughter of Neil Davidson, WPA’s chief people officer.

She was described as a “bright, caring, and intelligent young woman” with aspirations of pursuing medical research.

The event is supported by the Davidsons, Monkton Wood Academy, WPA colleagues, the WPA Foundation, and the wider community.
