My son Robert died May Day Bank Holiday Monday, 1996.
He was a fit, healthy 15 year-old who enjoyed hockey and cricket – and had recently returned from an Outward Bound Course for the second year running (his choice) with school.
That afternoon, Robert collapsed and died whilst on a bike ride along the River Severn with his two best friends.
Roy Ball from Birmingham – who is a CRY Supporter – wrote to us after reading Robert’s story in the newspaper, as Roy’s family had suffered a similar loss. I was no longer alone!
During the subsequent years that have passed, CRY and its Bereavement Supporters have given me hope, inspiration and challenge.
If you would like to contact one of our Representatives or a Bereavement Supporter please call the CRY office at 01737 363222 or e-mail [email protected] and we will put you in touch with someone who may be able to help you.
