Dr Chiara Scrocco completed her undergraduate training at University of Torino (Italy) in 2010. In 2011 she was awarded a one-year research grant to continue her research on inherited arrhythmia syndromes including Brugada Syndrome and Short QT Syndrome. She subsequently enrolled and successfully completed her fellowship in Cardiology from University of Torino in 2017.
In 2017 she joined the Inherited Cardiovascular Disease team at St George’s University as Clinical Research fellow to expand her expertise and enrol in a research degree program. Her fields of interest include genetics of sudden cardiac death and inherited arrhythmia syndromes.
She is an honorary research fellow for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) and also assists with their national screening programme.
In her spare time she enjoys running, cycling, hiking, skiing and playing tennis. She is a keen football follower, and has a passion for cooking, travelling and photography.
