Dr Daniel Tardo qualified at the University of Notre Dame Australia, School of Medicine, Sydney. This followed undergraduate studies in Exercise and Sport Science, graduating with first class Honours, at the University of Sydney. He completed both physician training and specialist training in Cardiology at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney. During the program, he gained invaluable experience working with the Department of Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation, which provided exposure to inherited cardiac conditions in this unique context.
He was admitted to Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians as a specialist Cardiologist prior to departing for London and has completed a Master of Medicine in long QT syndrome through the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute and his alma mater, where he continues to hold the post of Adjunct Clinical Lecturer.
Dr Tardo joins the Cardiac Risk in the Young team as a Research Fellow, participating in their national screening program. Additionally, he is undertaking a Clinical Fellowship in Inherited Cardiac Conditions and Sports Cardiology with the St George’s Hospital Cardiovascular Clinical Academic Group, and the role of Honorary Research Fellow in the Cardiovascular and Genomics Research Institute at St George’s University of London.
