After his graduation from Patna Medical College Hospital in India, Dr Narain came to the UK to pursue further career in Cardiology. He finished his MRCP (UK) exam and soon became the lead for junior doctors taking the MRCP exam at various Birmingham Hospitals.
Dr Narain has been involved in screening, especially for heart disease, since 2005 – at national and international level.
While pursuing his career in Cardiology in the UK, Dr Narain was appointed as a Founder Member of the International Development Group of NHS UK, for his contributions in the international health arena. He has also been an advisor to many Government and private institutions in India.
He has presented papers at several national and international conferences. He has to his credit case reports and research projects in Cardiology which have been published in several different medical journals.
Dr Narain’s research interests include Cardiovascular Adaptation in Asian Athletes – particularly various ECG changes and their significance.
He has been a keen cricketer in the past and plays table tennis in his leisure time.
