On 10th November after over 6 months of careful planning, contacting local companies for raffle prizes, making hamper prizes up with donations, the day was finally here for our fashion show and raffle.
We also had 3 local small businesses that had stalls, Lucy’s craft creations, Wax scent-sations & Fudge Around who sold their wonderful home made crafts.
120 Guests where greeted with a glass of prosecco, nibbles and some tasty brownies made by a work colleague of my daughter.
We started the night with an emotional speech from myself, highlighting why we chose CRY as our charity this year.
8 models, including my own daughter Megan, who suffered a sudden cardiac arrest in December 2021 at the age of 28, modelled the clothes of Elz Belles, Bolton.
The models then strutted their stuff – every time it was Megan’s turn, there was a massive cheer, my heart swelled with pride seeing her taking part, something we thought would never happen.
Next followed our raffle of nearly 50 fabulous prizes.
An amazing night was had by all who attended and with their generosity we raised £1710, from ticket sales, raffle tickets and donations. This has also been matched by my employer, so an amazing final total of £3420.
Thank you to everyone that helped, donated gifts, bought raffle tickets and attended on the night, we couldn’t have done it without you all.
