Young people between the ages of 14 and 35 can undergo free cardiac screening in Wolverhampton next month.
Twelve fit and healthy young people die in the UK every week as a result of sudden cardiac death.
Currently, the NHS does not offer automatic free screening for young people and the charity Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) is coming to Wolverhampton to offer the free screening sessions for young people.
Cardiac specialists and technicians will be carrying out electrocardiogram testing at Molineux on Saturday and Sunday, June 19 and 20.
The screening, which is painless and non-invasive, should detect any abnormalities which may require attention.
the event is being organised by CRY in conjunction with Soroptimist International of Bilston and District.
