On 31st August, my boyfriend Nathan and I climbed Mount Snowdon to kick off our fundraising campaign for Cardiac Risk In The Young. We’ve also held a raffle and on 5th October organised a charity dance workshop to add some more fun into the mix! We raised an incredible amount of money, and are proud to be part of the reason this charity can continue its great work.
My sister Charlotte was diagnosed with Restrictive Cardiomyopathy following a CRY screening in 2016 and went on to receive a heart transplant in 2018 from an incredible donor. As a result of this one screening, I am fortunate enough to still have my sister in my life and for that I will always be incredibly grateful for the work that Deborah Dixon, and the entire CRY team, continue to do.
