I ran the day as an open hour between 11-5 pm, as most people live a good distance from each other I was pleased to see a lot of people turning up with their own yummy cakes and also making donations.
It’s very cold here and some travelled a good ways round to my house.
I not only had tea and coffee but a big pan of mulled wine to warm people up. It has been a lovely social day .
I still have cake over which via FB I have advertised as still available and to reach friends who can’t be here told them they can donate for a virtual cake which I will eat and describe every bite.
Sadly none of the Bulgarians got involved which I don’t understand …next year I will have more of an idea and will make my event bigger and better to help get more young people screened and save more lives.
I have only raised 90 leva which here is a very good amount but in pounds it converts to £ 36:64
Maybe more once all the rest of the cakes have sold.
Have added a few pictures of our bakes …I made a special Lemon drizzle cake as it was Joseph’s favourite.
