On Saturday 26th November, Malden House, a residential care home, opened their doors to provide a venue for a cake bake held in memory of Jon Hayman. Jon’s grandmother is a resident of Malden House. The coffee morning was organised by Marion Hayman, residents, relatives and friends.
There was the opportunity to buy cakes, Christmas cards, Christmas decorations and small bric-a-brac items. A raffle was also held. The Sidmouth Ukulele Strummers attended to provide a good sing-a-long adding to the relaxed but fun atmosphere.
The morning raised £364.50 for the Jon Hayman Memorial Fund and £47.50 was raised in Christmas card sales.
