Nearly 100 West Lothian young people attended a special event to check for potential heart conditions.
The Civic Centre in Livingston hosted the clinical team from the charity Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) for a screening event to prevent young sudden cardiac deaths.
The event was organised by Livingston’s David and Natalie Cutler in memory of their son Stuart, who died of an undiagnosed heart condition aged 22.
This is the forth local screening event they have organised, with 400 West Lothian young people checked. Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed heart conditions.
