The American collage that Pete McAvoy was attending in 2014 when he died of sudden cardiac arrest, have held a memorial day in his honour. Students wore #4Pete t-shirts and the collage football teams played matches to raise funds for Cardiac Risk in the Young. Pete’s father, Peter works alongside CRY to fund heart screening and to raise awareness says of the collages efforts, “It is so amazing how much of an impact he [Pete] made.. he is used as an inspirational figure for the new students.. it is just amazing what they do in his memory.”
