Jude Harvey
This is in loving memory of Jude Alan Harvey who was born on the 20th June 2004.
We don’t know where to begin with words that can match the greatness of our Jude. A booming 10lb4oz baby it is indeed apparent that a huge soul was indeed gracing us with his presence.
He was born with his eyes wide open. Jude was a mischievous baby which carried on into his later years, always puzzling us with his mischievous activity. It is clear that Jude had a great sense of humour from a very young age. He loved jumping into swimming pools due to his fearless and playful nature.
In his younger years, Jude developed a passion for BMX riding and became extremely good at it. However, there was never a dull moment with Jude; with his constant pranks, he filled our lives with laughter. We each got our own pockets of love and laughter… often at our expense.”
Jude had a magical presence , a total gentleman with a huge heart. A creative soul with lots of ideas and always keen to share them.
In his later teenage years he loved weight training and looking after himself with tons of research… boy did he grow so fast! Jude would even go out into the garden in the rain and do pull ups. He loved being in the rain. The staff in his local gym developed a relationship with him due to his big honest personality. Jude had the ability to pick things up very quickly. He was training to become a hairdresser . Jude was dearly loved and appreciated by his work colleagues and the customers he served, some, including the older women, found him adorable and so handsomely charming.
Despite his big hands Jude was able to braid hair so neatly. Shopping was one of Jude’s favourite past times, he would often go shopping and what did Jude love to buy? Trainers! Yes trainers, he was obsessed with trainers. His favourite colour was orange and boy did he have style with his many T-shirts that he also loved.
Jude was a lover of music and dancing, This is no surprise because he was one with a big energy, a giant of a man filling and lighting up a room whenever he entered it. His presence was truly felt by those around him.
Jude loved his friends and was a stabilising force in their lives; often showing his empathy by taking care of them in times of need and distress. Jude had strength like we’ve never known, his ability to love was unique and unreal.
We sadly lost our young Jude far too soon, whilst he was away on holiday with his step sister. He had suffered multiple cardiac arrests, which started whilst swimming in the sea. The medical team that took care of our darling, believed an underlying condition had triggered this and our darling Jude wasn’t to stay.
This guy…. OUR JUDE will be so very missed, our hearts will never be the same.
We are so blessed he shared his life with us and will honor him always.
This memorial fund has been set up by the family to help CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death through supporting CRY’s screening programme.
