On October 29th 2010 our beloved son Lyndon Cook went to bed and didn’t wake up; he was only 29 years old.
He died from a heart attack caused by Coronary Heart Disease that he never knew he had. He was a healthy young man who ate healthily and rarely drank alcohol. He was so proud to have lost 2½ stone shortly before his death.
He was a polite, friendly and a well-mannered young man and was loved by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He was quiet with people he did not know well, but with his friends and family he was well known for his affectionate laughter and one-liner jokes.
This photograph was taken just 3 months before he passed; he was enjoying a family barbecue for his cousin’s birthday. We had such a wonderful day that day and we cherish the memories that we are left with.
We have previously lost two other children – Andrew Cook aged 4 days and Sharon Cook aged 3 years – both with heart problems also.
We hope that they are all together happy with other members of our family that have also passed.
We have one son and two grandchildren left, who have kept us going and have given us a reason to live and carry on. Our family has been so supportive and don’t know what we would have done without them.
We have good and bad days where we struggle to carry on, but we know he wouldn’t want that. There isn’t a day that goes by where we don’t think of Lyndon and miss him terribly.
We truly believe that he was one of God’s wonderful creations.
GOD BLESS
Michael & Jennifer Cook
