Research Fellowship Grants
CRY research fellowship grants are essential for testing young people and publishing our experience in the worlds leading journals.
CRY’s Annual International Conference
This conference brings together international experts to discuss and debate the causes and prevention of young sudden cardiac death.
The CRY Centre for Inherited Cardiac Conditions & Sports Cardiology
CRY research fellows work within the CRY Clinic at St. George’s Healthcare NHS Trust Hospital in London. Professor Sanjay Sharma, Professor of Inherited Cardiovascular Disease and Sports Cardiology and Dr Elijah Behr at St. George’s Hospital, provide a fast track service to families where they will be seen quickly (2-6 weeks) as a family unit, and have all tests done on the same day.
Cardiac Screening
Supporting research fellowship grants helps CRY to screen thousands more young people each year.
Counselling, individual bereavement support & bereavement support days
CRY’s Bereavement Support Network consists of a network of 19 volunteers who have experience of a similar tragedy and have been trained to help other bereaved families adjust. Families also come together at national support days for families, mothers, fathers, siblings and partners.
The CRY Centre for Cardiac Pathology based at St George’s Hospital provides CRY’s fast track expert pathology service. After a sudden death, fast track expert pathology is crucial to understand the cause of death and to help direct investigations for other family members. This is done in two weeks. Prior to this service families could wait up to 2 years to find the cause of death.
CRY myheart Network gives counselling, support and help for young people who have been diagnosed. Myheart members will be given the opportunity to meet with other young people with similar conditions talk about their experiences in a supportive environment and ask a specialist questions in an informal setting.
